Situated on the north side of the Chengcing Lake, the main God of worship is the Duke of Chihfu, legend has it that Chih Duke was devoted to charity during his lifetime; he founded seven schools, created scholarships and funded the school operations with production from roughly 19 hectares of land. He often cultivated his moral character through the saying “If one admits to his wrong doings and makes amends, all is not too late”. He often spoke of “Face your mistakes, endure, reflect, be responsible and awaken, then you shall rise again and succeed”, therefore the Balong Temple is loved and worshipped by the people of Niaosong Township |

It is located at the rear area of Chengcing Lake, it is a sacred temple honoring the martyrs who have sacrificed their lives in maintaining a just cause. The building is elegant and majestic, while the surrounding environment is tranquil and lush with trees, this is truly a worthwhile place to visit. |

The temple mainly worships the Gautama Buddha, currently the abbot is the Venerable Master Sheng Yen, who is a prominent figure in the Buddhism world. The temple is Venerable Master Sheng Yen’s rite venue in southern Taiwan. The Rensing Square nearby will be adopted by the temple at the end of the year to build a park and the Rensing Square. The construction is scheduled to be completed by next year, where it will become a recreational venue for the roughly 10,000 citizens of Niaosong Village and locals from the vicinity. |

The Chengcing Lake Scenic Area is the landmark scenery of Niaosong Township, the scenic area covers an area of 375 hectares, the lake surface is roughly 103 hectares. Along the line there are eight sceneries, namely: The lakes and the mountains complement each other, together wih plum blossoms and crowing of chickens in the spring ancient building, The Bridge of Nine Turns, Lakeside Gazebo, Sea-viewing Tower, Tower with view of the Forest and Birds, Picturesque Lake, Three Scenic Pavilions, and Deyue Tower.
This is the first tourism park featuring three functions of water, landscape and recreation. Since the scenery is picturesque, it is often referred to as the West Lake of Taiwan.
Nearby are the Grand Hotel, Wetland Park, Grand Golf Country Club and CSU, it is the perfect destination for one day or two day tours. |

The Niaosong Wetland is located by the east side of the front entrance of the Chengcing Lake in Niaosong Township, Kaohsiung County, next to the McDonalds, it is a piece of triangular land by the Chengcing Road and Dabi Road. The total area is roughly three hectares, including one hectare of land and two hectares of water area. Since it has a diverse terrain and landscape, there is also a wide collection of animal species, with as many as 32 species of birds, 20 species of butterflies and 121 species of plants. The region is close to the immensely vast Chengcing Lake, making it the perfect outdoor ecological education venue. |

The Three Scenic Pavilions are situated on the Huanhu Road of the east bank of Chengcing Lake, it was leased from the Taiwan Water Corporation in 2004, and the surroundings were redesigned. Between 2004 and 2006, two performance stages, lakeside wooden path, thin film gallery, art facilities and green beautification of light fixtures were completed near the Three Scenic Pavilions. Visitors can freely make use of the scenic area of the Three Scenic Pavilions to enhance the value added creativity of Chengcing Lake on the township. |
